How to adjust the date and time on Android TV™
IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.
You can set the correct date and time on your Android TV™ device automatically or manually.
Set the date and time automatically

For XBR A9G / A9F / Z9G / Z9F series
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select
Settings.
- Follow the steps according to your TV menu.
- Select Device Preferences → Date & time → Automatic date & time → set it to ON.
- Select Date & Time → Automatic date & time → set it to ON.

For other models
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select
Settings.
- Under the System Preferences category, select Date & time.
- Set to Use broadcast time or Use network time.
- If there are no menu items under Use network time, set to ON, then set Time synchronization to Use network-provided time.
If your TV doesn't display the correct time, make sure to select the correct time zone.
- Press the HOME button.
- Select
Settings.
- Follow the steps according to your TV menu.
- Select Device Preferences → Date & time → Set time Zone.
- Select Date & time → Set time zone.
- Select Date & Time → Time → Automatic time zone → Set it to Off, then select Set Time Zone.
- Select your location.
Note: If you use a special network environment such as VPN, the time on the TV may differ from the time of the location or area where the TV is located.
Set the date and time manually
- Press the HOME button on the remote control.
- Select
Settings.
- Follow the steps according to your TV menu.
- Select Device Preferences → Date & time → Automatic date & time → Set it to Off.
- Select Date & Time → Automatic date & time → Set it to Off.
- Set the date and time manually.
- For Android™ 8.0 or later, select Set date and Set time.
- For Android 7.0 or earlier, select Date and Time.
