My Android TV Doesn't Connect to a Wireless Network

Check if your Android TV™ device connects to the wireless network after each step:

1. Connect other devices to the same wireless router.

   If other devices don't connect, check the following instructions:

   • Check if the router's stealth function is enabled.

     Your TV won't display the router's name (SSID) if it's enabled. Follow these steps to enter the SSID manually on your TV:

     1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
     2. Select Settings or the icon.
     3. Under Network & Accessories category, select Network.
     4. Select Network setup.
     5. Select Expert.
     6. Select [Manual entry].
   • Check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) the maximum number of devices that you can connect.
     • Your router may only support a limited number of connected devices.
   • Perform a power reset on the router, modem, and other network equipment.
     1. Unplug the power cords from the wall outlet for 30 seconds.
     2. Plug the power cords back into a working wall outlet, and wait until the flashing light indicates that your device has completely restarted. Check the router manual for more information.

   If the issue still occurs, contact your ISP for further assistance.

2. Restart your TV.
3. Perform a factory data reset.

4. Check how your TV and router are set up.

   • If possible, use your TV and the router in the same room.
     • The proximity of your TV to your router will affect signal strength.
   • Keep a distance of 3 feet or more between your TV and the router.
   • Turn off other equipment near your TV and the router.
     • Other wireless or electronic devices such as Bluetooth® devices, cordless telephones, baby monitors, and microwave ovens may cause interference.
   • If the router uses multiple frequencies (ex: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz), try a different frequency.

If you continue to experience network connection issues after you follow all of the steps above, another option is to use a wired (cable) connection from your TV to your router or modem.
