How to perform a Power Reset or a Factory data reset on a Google TV™

    TV resetting is performed to restore the TV's condition when the TV does not work properly. There are the following resetting methods, which vary in stages depending on the TV's conditions. Choose the appropriate resetting method according to the symptom on your TV:

    Step 1 - Power Reset

    If any issue occurs with the TV operation, first follow the steps in the How to restart (reset) an Android TV™/Google TV? article to perform a Power Reset, and then check whether the issue is resolved.

    Step 2 - Factory Data Reset

    If the issue is not resolved by the Power Reset, follow these steps to perform a Factory Data Reset:

    WARNING: Factory data reset will clear all of your customized settings including the parental lock setting and following:

    • System & Applications data
    • Downloaded Applications
    • Channels
    • Wireless network settings

    If the Home screen can be displayed

    1. On the remote control, press the  (Quick Settings) button.
    2. Select  Settings.
    3. Select System.
    4. Select About.
    5. Select Reset.
    6. Select Factory data reset.
      NOTE: If you want to stop Factory data reset at this step, then select Cancel.
    7. Select Erase everything.

    If the Home screen cannot be displayed 

    1. On the remote control, press the HELP button.
    2. Select Manual (Help Guide).
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Select Using the Quick Settings.
    5. Select  Settings.
    6. Select System.
    7. Select About.
    8. Select Reset.
    9. Select Factory data reset.
    10. Select Erase everything.
