Set Up and Use the Wi-Fi Direct Feature on 2013 and 2014 TV Models

The following steps and images were created using a 2014 TV model. The images and steps may differ slightly depending on the TV model being used. Check the manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

To set up and use the Wi-Fi Direct® feature of the TV, follow these steps:

1. Turn on the Built-in Wi-Fi setting on your TV.

   1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
   2. Select Settings.

      

   3. Select System Settings or Network.
      • If the TV shows Network, skip to step 6.
   4. Select Setup.
   5. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
   6. Select Built-in Wi-Fi or Built-in Wireless LAN.

      

   7. Select ON.

2. Turn on the Wi-Fi Direct setting of the TV.

   1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
   2. Select Settings.
   3. Select System Settings or Network.
      • If the TV shows Network, skip to step 6.
   4. Select Setup.
   5. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
   6. Select Wi-Fi Direct.

      

   7. Select ON.

3. Establish Wi-Fi Direct connection to the TV.

   1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
   2. Select Settings.
   3. Select System Settings or Network.
      • If the TV shows Network, skip to step 6.
   4. Select Setup.
   5. Select Wi-Fi Setup.
   6. Select Wi-Fi Direct Settings.

      

   7. Connect your Wi-Fi Direct device to the TV.

      

      • If Wi-Fi Direct connection fails, follow these steps to display the WPA key of the TV:

        1. Press the Options button.

           

        2. Select Manual.

           

        3. Select Other Methods.

           

        4. Select the SSID and enter the WPA key displayed on the TV to the Wi-Fi setting of your Wi-Fi Direct device.
