The camera does not wirelessly connect to a smartphone with the Smart Remote Control.

To use the wireless feature of the camera with the Smart Remote Control, first insert a memory card into the camera. The Wi-Fi feature does not work unless the camera has a memory card correctly inserted.

Additionally, please check the following points: 

• Does the Smartphone / Tablet  support the feature Smart Remote Control?
• Is a supported version of Android OS or iOS installed on your Smartphone / Tablet?
• Is the latest version of  the PlayMemories Mobile app installed on your Smartphone / Tablet?
• Use the Set-up Guide to establish the connection
