The message TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN is displayed.

The error message Turn power off then on or Turn the power off and on again appears on the screen if the camera detects a malfunction, such as when forcing the lens or if a foreign object is trapped in the lens mechanism. For interchangeable lens cameras, the message appears for SteadyShot™ function or shutter problem related issues.

Solution

Turn off the camera and turn it back on after a few seconds. If the issue still occurs, follow the steps below to power cycle the camera.
