    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. Download the EP0000605040.exe file to a directory on your computer, and make note of this directory for reference.
    2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000605040.exe file to begin the installation.
    3. At the User Account Control screen, click Yes.
    4. At the Please wait while Windows configures VAIO Care screen, please wait for the installation to finish.

    Update Verification (optional)

    Please follow the steps below to verify that the installation was successfull:

    1. Browse to C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Care.
    2. Double-click the version.txt file.
    3. Verify that the version is 8.4.8.06245.
