Before You Start

Important Notes

  • In order to install this update, it is necessary to have Digital Voice Editor software version 2.x installed on the computer.
  • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions

  1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  2. Download the DVE2_HI-CPU_UPDATER_E.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the DVE2_HI-CPU_UPDATER_E.EXE file to begin the installation.
  4. At the welcome screen, click "Next".
  5. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
  6. When you click [I Agree], the starting installation dialog appears, and click [Next >] to begin the installation.
  7. When the installation is completed successfully, the installation complete dialog appears, and click [Finish>] to exit installation.

The installation of the Digital Voice Editor Ver.2.x High-Speed CPU Compatible Program is complete.

Confirm Successful Installation (optional)

  1. Browse to the "System32" folder in the "Windows" folder.
    NOTE: This is normally "C:\WINDOWS\system32".
  2. Locate the CDUSB.dll file, right-click the file, and then click the "Version" tab.
  3. On the "Version" tab, verify that the "File version:" is 1.1.0.10190.
  4. Locate the ICDUSB2.dll file, right-click the file, and then click the "Version" tab.
  5. On the "Version" tab, verify that the "File version:" is 1.1.0.11060.
  6. If either of the file versions are different than the ones listed, please download and install the update again.
