    Important Notes

    • This driver is only for use with Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional operating system.
    • This driver is not needed to be able to use the recorder as a removable drive with the following Microsoft® Windows® operating systems:
      • Windows Vista®Home Basic
      • Windows Vista Home Premium
      • Windows Vista Business
      • Windows Vista Ultimate
      • Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
      • Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004

    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the SonyRecorder_Driver.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SonyRecorder_Driver.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation.
    5. When the installation is complete, restart the computer.

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony® Recorder Driver is complete.

    1. Use Windows Explorer to browse to the folder "C:\Program Files\Sony".
    2. Confirm that "C:\Program Files\Sony" includes a folder named "Sony Recorder Folder".
