    Important Notes

    • IMPORTANT: Before installing the VAIO Smart Network software, please note the following:
      1. If you have performed a clean install of the Windows 7 operating system, please ensure that all original device drivers from the Sony® support site have been installed on the computer.
      2. It is not necessary to revert to the original drivers for any drivers that you have properly installed updates from the Sony support site.
      3. If you have performed a clean install of the Windows 7 operating system, please install all required files. A link to the required files is available in the You May Need This section.
    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the EP0000551976.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000551976.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. At the "VAIO User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    5. The driver will silently install on your computer.

    The installation of the VAIO Smart Network software is complete.
