    Important Notes

    The current version of the Realtek PCIE CardReader must be uninstalled before installing this update. Follow the steps below to uninstall the driver:
    1. Click "Search" on the "Charm" menu, then click settings.
    2. Type "Programs and Features", then select the app on the left of your screen.
    3. Select "Realtek PCIE CardReader" from the list, then click "Uninstall".
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstall of the driver.
    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the EP0000600907.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000600907.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
