    Important Notes

    The current version of the Intel Graphics Driver must be uninstalled before installing this update. Follow the steps below to uninstall the driver:

    1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap "Search".
      Note: When using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then select "Search".
    2. On the Charm list, select "Settings".
    3. Type "Add or Remove Programs".
    4. Click "Add or Remove Programs".
    5. From the list, select "Intel® Graphics Driver", and then select "Uninstall".
    6. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the Intel Graphics Driver software.
    7. At the "Welcome to the Uninstallation Program" screen, click "Next".
    8. At the "Uninstallation Progress" screen, click "Next".
    9. At the "Uninstallation Is Complete" screen, keep the default box selected, "Yes, I want to restart this computer now", then click "Finish" to restart the computer.
    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the EP0000600986.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000600986.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    5. At the "Welcome to the Setup Program of Intel® Graphics Driver" screen, click "Next".
    6. At the "License Agreement" screen, read the agreement, then if you agree, click "Yes" to continue.
    7. At the "Readme File Information" screen, read the information, and then click "Next".
    8. At the "Setup Progress" screen, click "Next".
    9. At the "Setup is Complete" screen, keep the default box selected, "Yes, I want to restart this computer now", and then click "Finish".

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the Intel HD Graphics Family Update is complete.
