    This utility installs an updated version of the Intel® HD Graphics Family / Intel® HD Graphics 4400 software to resolve the following issues:
    • The screen brightness changes when performing some operations on the computer (using keyboards, touchpad, typing, touch screen, etc.)
    • When capturing a picture or video, the camera application freezes (stops responding), or the error message "There is something wrong with the camera" is displayed
    • When running the benchmark test using 3D Mark06 testing, the computer has a lower performance in "High performance" mode than when in "Power saver" mode

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the EP0000600995.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000600995.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    5. At the "Welcome to the Setup Program" screen, keep the default box selected, "Automatically run WinSAT and enable the Windows Aero desktop theme (if supported)", and then click "Next".
    6. At the "License Agreement" screen, read the agreement, then if you agree, click "Yes" to continue.
    7. At the "Readme File Information" screen, read the information, and then click "Next".
    8. Wait for the Setup Progress to finish, and then click "Next".
    9. At the "Setup is Complete" screen, keep the default box selected, "Yes, I want to restart this computer now", and then click "Finish".

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the Intel HD Graphics Family / Intel HD Graphics 4400 Update is complete.
