    Benefits and improvements

    This utility will install an updated version of the Intel® Smart Connect Technology software to resolve the following issues:
    • A dialog message "Enabling Hybrid Sleep needs Intel Smart Connect Technology to be disabled. Did you disable iSCT?" may appear after the computer resumes from sleep mode while the iSCT feature is enabled
    • The VAIO® computer is unable to receive emails after resuming from sleep mode even if the iSCT option is enabled
    • The installation of the Intel Smart Connect Technology (iSCT) software may fail when the date on the computer changes to June 24, 2014 or later

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the EP0000601140.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000601140.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    5. The driver will automatically install.
    6. Please wait for the installation to complete.
    7. Restart the computer.

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the Intel Smart Connect Technology Update is complete.
