    Benefits and improvements

    This utility installs an updated version of the VAIO® Control Center software to resolve the following issues:
    • The "View 3D via HDMI input" option located in VAIO Control Center does not activate correctly
    • The camera remains on after closing a 3D application
    • A dialog message "Enabling Hybrid Sleep needs Intel Smart Connect Technology to be disabled. Did you disable iSCT?" may appear after the computer resumes from sleep mode while the iSCT feature is enabled
    • The TouchPad settings from the VAIO Control Center utility and the Synaptics® device settings may not sync correctly when the computer resumes from sleep or hibernation state
    • A black screen may occur when upgrading to Windows 8.1
    • Adds support for Windows® 8.1 operating system

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the EP0000601082.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000601082.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    5. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for VAIO Control Center" screen, click "Next".
    6. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, keep the default checked box for "Yes, I want to restart my computer now", then click "Finish" to restart the computer.

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the VAIO Control Center Update is complete.
