    Important Notes

    In order for this update to install and function properly, the Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver Update (BRDWLL-P0317270-1102.EXE) must be installed before installing this update.

    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the EP0000601166.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000601166.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    5. At the "WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software" screen, click the "Upgrade Bluetooth Software" button.
    6. At the "Installation Complete. Thank you." screen, click the "Reboot" button to complete the installation.

    The installation of the BCM43142 Bluetooth Adapter Update is complete.

    Update Verification (optional)

    Please follow the steps below to verify that the installation was successfull

    1. Click "Search" on the "Charm" menu, then click settings.
    2. Type "Programs and Features", then select the app on the left of your screen.
    3. Select "WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software" from the list.
    4. Verify that the version is 12.0.0.9950.
