    What is Netflix calibrated mode?

    IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article.

    The Netflix calibrated mode on your Google TV™ or Android TV™ allows you to experience picture quality close to a filmmaker's vision and intent. Follow the instructions below to turn it on or off:

    For Google TVs and Android TVs released after 2019 listed below:

    • 2026 models: BRAVIA 9 II (XR90M2), BRAVIA 7 II (XR70M2)
    • 2025 models: BRAVIA 8 II (XR80M2), BRAVIA 5 (XR50)
    • 2024 models: BRAVIA 7 (XR70), BRAVIA 8 (XR80), BRAVIA 9 (XR90)
    • 2023 models: A95L, A80L_A83L_A84L, A75L, X95L, X93L, X90L_X91L series
    • 2022 models: A95K, A90K, A80K_A83K_A84K, A75K, X95K, X90K_X91K_X92K_X93K_X94K (55-85), X90K_X92K_X90S_X94S (50), Z9K series
    • 2021 models: X95J, Z9J, X90J_X91J_X92J_X93J_X94J (50-75, 100), A90J, A80J_A83J_A84J, X91J (85) series
    • 2020 models: A9_A9S, A8_A8H, Z8H_ZH8, XH95_X95H (55, 65, 75), XH95_X95H (49, 85), XH90_X90H_X91H_XH92 series
    • 2019 models: Z9G_ZG9, A9G_AG9, XG95_X95G series
      1. Launch Netflix.
      2. On the supplied remote control, press the Quick Settings (spanner or gear) button.
      3. Select Settings.
      4. Select Display & Sound.
      5. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Picture & Sound → Picture → Set Netflix calibrated mode to ON or OFF.
        • Select Picture → Set Netflix calibrated mode to ON or OFF.
    Notes:
    • If the Netflix calibrated mode is set to ON, the Picture mode settings become grayed out.
    • If you want to select other Picture mode settings, follow steps 1 to 6 above to turn off the Netflix calibrated mode.

    For A9F_AF9 and Z9F_ZF9 series (2018 models):

    1. Launch Netflix.
    2. Press the ACTION MENU button on the supplied remote control.
    3. The next step is depending on which way the menu is displayed on the screen.
      1. When the menu is displayed on the bottom of the screen (Quick Settings):
        1. Select Settings.
        2. Select Display & Sound.
        3. Select Picture.
        4. Set Netflix calibrated mode to ON or OFF.
      2. When the menu is displayed on the top of the screen (Action Menu)
        1. Select Picture adjustments.
        2. Set Netflix calibrated mode to ON or OFF.
    Notes:
    • If the Netflix calibrated mode is set to ON, the Picture mode settings become grayed out.
    • If you want to select other Picture mode settings, follow steps above to turn off the Netflix calibrated mode.
