The design or settings of the router determine the steps to setup the IP address and proxy server settings on your device. If the router has not automatically assigned an IP address to the device, you may be able to set the IP address manually.
Set the IP address on your device
To manually set the IP address, follow these steps:
- Obtain the following IP information from your computer.

Enter the IP information on the network settings.
The network settings of your device varies on the model being used. Check the manual for model-specific information.
Android TVs
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- Under Network & Accessories category, select Network.
- Select Network setup.
- Under Network setup category, select Expert.
- Select Wired LAN.
- For Android™ 7 Nougat (N) OS, scroll down to Wired LAN then follow step 8.
- Select Advanced options.
- Select IP settings.
- Select Static.
- Enter the IP information obtained from your computer.
- IP address: The IP address should be the same, except for the last number in the four-number sequence. Change the last number to a number higher than the original, but less than 254. For example, if the IP address shown on your computer is 192.168.0.5, enter 192.168.0.105
- Subnet Mask: Enter the Subnet mask exactly as attained from the computer.
- Default Gateway: Enter the Default Gateway exactly as attained from the computer.
- Use 8.8.8.8 for the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the Secondary DNS.
- Devices don't use a proxy server. Select NO if prompted to use a proxy server.
- Select Save and Connect to establish a network connection.
Other TVs
- Press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- Select System Settings.
- Select Set-up.
- Select Network.
- Select Network Set-up.
- Under Network Set-up category, select Set up network connection.
- Select Expert.
- Select Wired Set-up.
- Select Manual.
- Enter the IP information obtained from your computer.
- IP address: The IP address should be the same, except for the last number in the four-number sequence. Change the last number to a number higher than the original, but less than 254. For example, if the IP address shown on your computer is 192.168.0.5, enter 192.168.0.105
- Subnet Mask: Enter the Subnet mask exactly as attained from the computer.
- Default Gateway: Enter the Default Gateway exactly as attained from the computer.

Other internet devices
- Press the HOME or MENU button.
- Select Setup or Settings.
- Select Network.
- Select Network Setup.
- Depending on how the device is connected to your network, select either Wired or Wireless.
- Select Manual or Custom.
- If these options are not available, an IP address cannot be manually set on your model.
- For secured wireless setup, enter a Network security key to display the IP address and Proxy server setting screen.
- Enter the IP information obtained from your computer.
- IP address: The IP address should be the same, except for the last number in the four-number sequence. Change the last number to a number higher than the original, but less than 254. For example, if the IP address shown on your computer is 192.168.0.5, enter 192.168.0.105
- Subnet Mask: Enter the Subnet mask exactly as attained from the computer.
