Follow these steps to resolve the issue on your car stereo. Not all car stereo receivers have USB capabilities. Check your manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
- If the device isn't recognized, remove the USB device and then re-insert it.
- Make sure that your device is set to the required mode before connecting it to the car stereo.
- Some USB devices need to be in a specific mode (such as a Mass Storage Class or Player mode, etc.) before you can use the USB device for playback.
- Check the specifications of the USB device or contact the manufacturer for information.

If the NO DEV or No Device error message appears, follow these steps below accordingly:
- If there's a USB device connected:
- Disconnect the USB cable from the car stereo and wait for approximately one minute.
- Reconnect the USB cable to the car stereo.
- If there's no USB device connected:
- Turn the power off on the car stereo wait for approximately one minute.
- Turn on the car stereo.
- If there's a USB device connected:
- If the NO SUPPORT, NO SUPRT or --:-- error message appears, refer to this article.
Note: If you have the RSX-GS9:
- Check the system requirements of the USB device and check whether the USB device is operating properly.
- Check that the root directory of the USB device contains a Music folder and that the folder contains playable music files (excluding iPhone® mobile devices and iPod® digital music players).
- Check if the names of music files include special characters.
