A hardware error message appears in the VAIO Remote Control App after upgrading to the Windows 8.1 operating system.

There are two updates that need to be applied to resolve this issue.

• Download and install the Sony IR Remote Control Update (Version 1.1.0.8210). Downloads are posted on your model support page.
• Check the Windows Store app for updates to the VAIO Remote Control (Windows UI) app . 

• NOTE:  After the updates have been installed, the VAIO Remote Control (Windows UI) app should be at version 1.1.1.11070.
