How to disable the proxy server settings.

WARNING: If custom proxy server settings are required for your Internet connection, disabling this feature may prevent you from accessing the Internet.

1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel window, double-click the Network and Internet Connections icon.
3. In the Network and Internet Connections window, under pick a Control Panel icon, double-click the Internet Options icon.
4. In the Internet Properties window, click the Connections tab.
5. On the Connections tab, in the Local Area Network (LAN) settings box, click the LAN Settings button.
6. In the Local Area Network (LAN) settings window, in the Proxy server box, uncheck the box next to Use a proxy server for your LAN.
7. Click the OK button.
8. In the Internet Properties window, click the OK button.
9. In the Network and Internet Connections window, click the X in the upper-right corner to close the window.
10. In the Control Panel window, click the X in the upper-right corner to close the window.
