How to disable the proxy server settings.
WARNING: If custom proxy server settings are required for your Internet connection, disabling this feature may prevent you from accessing the Internet.
- Click Start and then click Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, double-click the Network and Internet Connections icon.
- In the Network and Internet Connections window, under pick a Control Panel icon, double-click the Internet Options icon.
- In the Internet Properties window, click the Connections tab.
- On the Connections tab, in the Local Area Network (LAN) settings box, click the LAN Settings button.
- In the Local Area Network (LAN) settings window, in the Proxy server box, uncheck the box next to Use a proxy server for your LAN.
- Click the OK button.
- In the Internet Properties window, click the OK button.
- In the Network and Internet Connections window, click the X in the upper-right corner to close the window.
- In the Control Panel window, click the X in the upper-right corner to close the window.
