Does the AV Receiver or Sound Bar Support 4K Pass-Through?

Your device supports the 4K pass-through feature if the 4K video isn't encrypted with a High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection System Revision (HDCP) 2.2.

Do we have AV receivers that support HDCP 2.2?

If your device doesn't support 4K videos with HDCP 2.2 encryption, use of the connection methods below:

• Connect to your TV using HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) .

  Note: This connection requires:

  • Two high-speed HDMI cables
  • A TV with two or more HDMI IN jacks with one labeled HDMI IN ARC.

  1. Power off your device, the TV, and the 4K device.
  2. Disconnect the HDMI cables between the devices.
  3. Connect the first HDMI cable between the 4K device and the TV.
  4. Connect the second HDMI cable to the HDMI IN (ARC) jack of the TV and to the HDMI OUT (ARC) of your device.
  5. Power on all devices.
  6. Set the TV to the HDMI input where you connected the 4K device.

• Connect to your TV using an optical audio cable.

  Note: This connections requires:

  • a high-speed HDMI cable
  • an optical cable
  • A TV with an HDMI jack and an optical output jack

  1. Power off your device, the TV, and the 4K device.
  2. Disconnect all cables connected between the three devices.
  3. Connect an HDMI cable between the 4K device and the TV.
  4. Connect an optical cable to the digital audio out jack of the TV and to the Optical In jack of the device.
  5. Power on all the devices.
  6. Set the TV to the HDMI input where you connected the 4K device.
